The European Union have already started preparing for the dooms day. In 2006, they deployed plans to build a “Doomsday Seed Vault” to store millions of seeds from countries around the world. The US government is also few steps ahead. They are preparing for Catastrophic Collapse of Society, asteroids, and war. Well, Russia reportedly constructing 5000 new bomb shelters in the capitol city of Moscow. They are building underground bunkers and military bases.

 

The U.S are building bunkers so rapidly and on such a large scale that private contractors are unable to acquire materials to build bunkers for individual clients. According to the government officials, the bunkers being built in Russia are for the general population. There are enough shelters to house about half of Moscow’s 11 million inhabitants. Most of the shelters were built before and after World War II. Now they are converted into public areas like restaurant. The bunkers are specially designed to shelter the population in the event of a nuclear attack. But the government officials has made it clear that it’s only a precaution and they do not expect such an attack or nuclear outbreak.
